Song of Salmon - Silence
Song of Salmon's Silence is a re-recording of songs written and released between 2014 and 2017 re-arranged and lyrically revised to form a concept album.
Combining an array of influences (see: the massive 10-minute post-rock opener “Black Waves”) with subdued synths and cryptic lyrics (“Missa Brevis” is sung entirely in Latin), there is a surprise around every corner.

“It's partially based on the book 'Silence' by Shūsaku Endō, and partially my way of processing and reclaiming songs written when I had a different set of spiritual beliefs and as those beliefs were shifting. Recommended if you like existential post-rock with touches of slowcore, ambient, shoegaze, a little berlin-school electronic...or if you just want to be swept away by an indifferent ocean.”
