Jagalchi comes from a background in post-rock, and much of their approach comes from that mentality of longer, mostly instrumental songs with a wide scope and heavy focus on sonic texture. Different members' backgrounds in the genres of folk, Americana, ska, and jazz have led to Jagalchi's sound landing somewhere wholly unexpected.

With a purposefully eclectic mix of genres and an ensemble approach to instrumentation, a wise person dubbed it perhaps the most fitting term: post-big band.

With big riffs, quiet introspective sections, and spoken word passages, the album takes you on an unexpected and triumphant journey.
